Mountain Lodge

Located in the foothills of the majestic Maluti Mountains, Franshoek provides an intimate, easy going, family friendly lodge which appeals to all generations.

The heart of the lodge is a charming, thatched sandstone building where guests can relax at the bar or enjoy a delicious meal prepared by our Thai chef.

On the cooler evenings, a roaring log fire creates the perfect atmosphere for an evening of games or music and many guests find themselves getting to know strangers who end up as enduring friends!

The bedrooms are in the old farmhouse which is attached to the lodge, each with its own access to our beautiful gardens which are home to a menagerie of unusual creatures.

Up behind the guest buildings are a spectacular, sandstone edged swimming pool and an African Steam Hut where you can detox and take a dip in a truly remarkable setting.

Nearby are caves and waterfalls to explore, dams to fish in and walking trails to please everyone from the casual stroller to the serious hiker.
